Water Park to Play in Orange County

  • The Splash Pad in Westminster’s Sigler Park
  • Harry M. Dotson Park in Stanton has a “Wet Saloon” themed water play area – this one gets mixed reviews from readers.
  • Stanton Central Park opened in June 2016 with a splash pad and railroad theme.
  • Frontier Park in Tustin installed recirculating water system in 2016. The spray ground “features a state of the art recirculation system and special water conserving spray nozzles that ensures no wasteful water consumption.” It’s open 11am to 4pm M-F.
  • Pioneer Park in Tustin has a little splash park during the summer (for 2017 it’s open 10am-4pm through Sept. 30th)
  • Heritage Park in Irvine is one of my personal favorites (see photo above).
  • Lemon Park Spray Pool in Fullerton.
  • Adlena Park in Fullerton.
  • The District in Tustin Legacy has pop-up fountains.
  • Brenner Park wading pool in Buena Park – free for 6 and under, M-F 1pm-4pm.
  • Crown Valley Park and splash pad or “sprayground” across from the YMCA in Laguna Niguel.
  • Atlantis Play Center in Garden Grove.
  • Walnut Grove Park in Anaheim.

    PAY FOR WATER PLAY:

  • Knott's Berry Farm - Soak City

Shore Break towers over seven stories and offers six different thrilling water slide experiences.
The Wedge slide tower is an open air family raft ride. Up to six guests at a time descend down navigating twists and turns and surprise drops.
The expansion project has also added updated shaded seating areas, cabanas and a remodeled Longboard’s Grill to the water park. The park now boasts a total of 22 speed, tube and body slides plus the 750,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wave pool; the one-third-mile long Sunset Lazy River; and the three-story Beach House, featuring 200 water guns, nozzles, sprayers and other interactive surprises. The water park also features Gremmie Lagoon, a hands-on water playground for younger kids and families. Open daily, now through August 27.
A 2017 Gold Season Pass is the best way to experience the expanded Knott’s Soak City Waterpark. 2017 Gold Season Passes include unlimited visits in 2017 to both Soak City Waterpark AND Knott's Berry Farm with no blackout dates, discounts on select food and merchandise, and access to exciting year-round seasonal events.
  • The height requirement for The Wedge is 42 inches barefoot.
  • Four of the slides on the 60-foot tall tower start with guests climbing inside an Aqua-Launch chamber where they wait anxiously for the floor to drop out from underneath their feet, sending them into a high-speed, almost vertical free fall through a series of flat loops and S-curves in a translucent flume.
  • Shore Break also features dueling tube slides that zip riders through an enchanting series of drops and turns. The height requirements for the Shore Break slides are 48 inches barefoot.
  • Knott's Soak City, Orange County’s largest water park, has added seven new water slides this year offering new fun in the sun for both families and thrill seekers.
